There is always a reason not to do good and Satan is always launching attack on your will and desire to do good works. God has specifically created us for “good works” in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:10). Not only that, He has also prepared these good works for us so that we won’t have to struggle doing what He has called us to do. The enemy knows how effective and dangerous you will be if he allows you to carry on unhindered doing what you’re created and anointed to do.The devil’s aim is to discourage, derail, displace, distract and disposition you from what you were meant to do. In these last days, as deep darkness covers the people, even more; the church and individual believers need to give light and hope to the world through doing the good works. In doing these works Christ is revealed more and more and the Father is glorified even more.Philippians 1:6 (NKJV Strong's,)6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV Strong's,)10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.Colossians 3:23 (NKJV Strong's,)23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
John 14:12-14 (NKJV Strong's,)
The Answered Prayer
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

David's Kindness to Mephibosheth
1 Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?”
Seven times told “the Lord” was with Joseph.
Five times at the beginning, when describing years as a slave of Potiphar.
Two times at the end, when unjustly thrown into prison.
Genesis 39:2-6 (NKJV Strong's,)
2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. 4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. 5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. 6 Thus he left all that he had in Joseph's hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.
Genesis 39:20-23 (NKJV Strong's,)
20 Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. 21 But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. 23 The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.
James 4:13-17 (NKJV Strong's,)
Do Not Boast About Tomorrow
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
James 4:13-17 (NLT)
Warning about Self-Confidence
13 Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. 15 What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” 16 Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil.
17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
Matthew 5:13-16 (NKJV Strong's,)
Believers Are Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Acts 10:38 (NKJV Strong's,)
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Psalms 37:1-5 (NKJV Strong's,)
The Heritage of the Righteous and the Calamity of the Wicked
A Psalm of David.
1 Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
